FUE Hair Transplant
FUE Hair Transplant
A hair transplant that extracts follicles one by one and implants them where needed, without a long linear incision

ABOUT
What is FUE hair transplantation?
- 01
Hair transplantation is a procedure in which donor hair is harvested from the back of the head using either a strip or non-incisional (FUE) method and transplanted to areas of hair loss.
- 02
The FUE method uses a small punch to harvest follicles one by one and is generally performed after trimming the donor area short.
- 03
Non-shaven FUE avoids shaving a wide area at the back of the head, helping preserve the existing hairstyle and ease the return to daily life.
HOW IT WORKS
How does it work?
After local anesthesia, follicles are harvested individually from the back of the head,
then placed into small recipient sites created in the areas of hair loss.
The hair is transplanted with consideration for its thickness, the number of hairs, and the angle and flow in each area.
Because the transplanted hair settling in and the progression of hair loss in existing hair are separate processes, follow-up is needed after surgery.
Primary treatment areas
- M-shaped hairline
- Hairline
- Crown
- Temples
- Eyebrows
- Sideburns
RECOMMENDED FOR
Who is it recommended for?
- 01
Those concerned about an M-shaped or receding hairline
- 02
Those who want to fill sparse areas at the crown with their own hair
- 03
Those concerned about a long linear scar and sutures at the back of the head
- 04
Those with sufficient donor hair at the back of the head for transplantation
BENEFITS
Changes you may expect
- 01A natural transition between the hairline and M-shaped areas
- 02Added density in sparse-looking areas such as the crown
- 03Hair placement that considers the direction and thickness of existing hair
- 04Small dot-like extraction marks instead of a long linear scar
KEY POINTS
Key treatment points
- 01Individual follicular units harvested one by one with a small punch
- 02Donor hair is limited, so the possible treatment area and graft count must be assessed
- 03FUE and non-shaven techniques are different concepts; the shaving area is determined by the treatment plan
- 04Existing hair that was not transplanted may continue to thin and requires separate care
RESULT JOURNEY
How it changes over time
Swelling and tiny scabs may appear immediately after the procedure.
The transplanted hair should be protected carefully for the first two weeks, and some may shed temporarily after several weeks.
New hair usually begins to appear at around three to four months and gradually thickens over six to twelve months.
Depending on the individual, the final progress is assessed for approximately ten to eighteen months.
INEE APPROACH
How INEE approaches this treatment
- 01
We first assess the extent of hair loss and the density and thickness of the donor area at the back of the head.
- 02
We determine the hairline and transplant area to suit facial proportions and the direction of the existing hair.
- 03
Follicles are placed to suit each area, taking their thickness and number of hairs into account.
- 04
After surgery, we monitor both the engraftment process and the condition of existing hair that was not transplanted.
RECOVERY & CARE
What to check before and after treatment
Before treatment
Tell the medical team about any medications you take, scalp conditions, smoking, and previous hair transplants. Rather than relying only on a desired hairline photo, it is important to assess your current hair loss and donor area and discuss the feasible transplant area and graft count.
Immediately after & recovery
For several days after treatment, the scalp may feel tight or painful, with swelling and redness, and small scabs may form at the donor and recipient sites. The timing of your return to daily life varies with the transplant area and work environment, and protecting the transplanted hair is important during the first one to two weeks.
Aftercare
Clean gently as instructed by the medical team, and do not rub or press the transplanted area. Avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and strenuous exercise for the advised period, and contact the clinic if unexpected symptoms such as pain, bleeding, or heat occur.
